will a mixture of silk cashmere and cotton dye?
okay so i bought a cardigan from all saints and its all cotton 20% silk and 7% cashmere. i REALLY want it black. and i was thinking of using Dylon's velvet black on it. i would hand wash it and leave it longer cause i dont want it to look washy and weird. will it dye okay ? or will i have strange patches and random strands of silk that havnt dyed at all ? and will it break the silk ? cause i know your not supposed to dye silk with that dylon your supposed to use a proper acid silk dye thing. but does ANYBODY know if it will turn out okay. cause it was £70 and i really dont want to kill it
It should be fine. Follow dylons instructions to the T and read carefully if you need to use twice the dye for dark colors. The only problem is maybe the buttons won't match afterwards. Otherwise the fabric should be fine.
