Soldier Shirtless
Why do the dudes who fought in Vietnam look so incredibly skinny and small in photos?
They look like they need to hit the gym and pack on about 50lbs of muscle mass. They barely look like soldiers at all, to be honest. Certainly not like the soldiers we have today.
I'd be shocked if even 1% of those dudes could have done one rep on the bench press at a mere 300lbs - something that many kids can do today in HIGH SCHOOL.
It's nuts. Why did these Vietnam-era dudes permit themselves to have such girlish physiques?
And I'm not trying to pick on dudes who came back from long stints patrolling in the jungle. That's understandable. I'm talking about guys who are photographed shirtless shortly after arriving in Vietnam. They look like sticks.
What the heck were they thinking? Why didn't they at least do an intense yearlong lifting regimen back in America before they turned 18 and had to register with the selective service?
was this was bothering you so much that you had too write this long question? What high schoolers bench 300IB?
