Hi I saw Salt today & it was very good movie. Anyway why the Russian spy kids they kiss the red star ring to their master? Does have to do with Russian tradition? Thanks!

It's just a sign of respect since he is their "Father" in a sense of Authority and providing them a "home" with education and other children. Some of them even owe their lives to him (like Evelyn).
