How to make a Banner with HTML?

I am trying to post a banner or clickable image within some comment forums that will, when clicked, take the person to my website in a new window. can someone tell me a step by step process on how to do that?

Well, a lot of forums block things like this. Other have a specific code to enter and it gets parsed into what you want.

If the forum lets you enter any HTML code, then what you need to do is post the image you want somewhere.. since you mentioned you have a website, then you can use it...

if you want your own domain, you can do it there.. if not, upload it on myspace, facebook, photobucket, etc... somewhere.. when it's uploaded, find the image, right click, and select properties... there will be some text next to 'location' or 'source' with the address of the image..
