The Fall of France in Early WWII???
well i am doing a history project and i have to write newspaper articles for a "Special Edition" on early WWII. i am assigned to write three articles for the fall of France in early WWII and i must say i am drawing a blank. i am already working on one about the Munich Agreement but is there any other signifigant time when the France was being a real loser?

In the final stages of Germany's advance into France, the British and French forces counter attacked at Arras France. The British with the heavily armored Matilda tanks and the French with their heavily armored Char Bis tanks struck a devastating blow in the side of the Germany advance to the English Channel. The Germans had nothing that could penetrate the armor of either vehicle. The French gave up during the attack. They didn't follow through and as a result, a young Brigadier General by the name of Ernst Rommel rallied his troops and using the open sites of 88mm anti-aircraft guns, destroyed the otherwise unstoppable Anglo/French tank force. The French quit to early. Adolph Hitler learning of the success of the British and French tank forces against the flanks of his advancing army ordered a halt and had the Luftwaffe attack instead. Creating what is now become known as 'Dunkirk'.
But had the French fought on and continued with the routing of the German advance, who knows..... Adolph Hitler might have panicked and sued for an early peace.
